High Performance Cricket Tasmania hope all have had a great start to 2012 and particularly would like to thank all those involved in our January programs. The school holiday period has been one filled with excitement and entertainment for many young avid sports fans of Southern Tasmania. A brief summary below:

 

Open Day:

January 9, saw the doors open for the start of the post Christmas activity. Over 25 Boys and Girls took part in a very active Open Day involving games of Cricket, Soccer, Tennis and other sports related activity. We all slept well that night!

Batting and Bowling Masterclass:

An intense two days of coaching for the keenest of our young cricketers from Southern Tasmania. Tigers player Sandy Rogers joined us for the Masterclass while former Tigers players Mark Divin and Tim Scott were on hand to pass on their knowledge.

The kids are still talking about this one!! Tim Paine on Day 1, The Hurricanes game on Day 2 and multiple cricket games on Day 3. What a blast! Over 30 youngsters joined in the festivities. Thank you to Mark Drake of Kingborough Cricket Club and Cricket Tasmania for their efforts and support.

 

 

 

T20 Blast:

To wrap up the month of January our 8-10 years olds took part in the T20 Indoor Blast competition. A chance for some fast paced, action packed games of cricket for this energetic bunch.

In2Cricket Centre:

To keep our 5-8 year olds entertained, active and developing their basic cricket skills, HPCT in conjunction with Cricket Tasmania is offering a 4 week in2cricket program from Wednesday, February 22. Please contact us for more information

 

Winter Indoor Cricket Rosters:

Winter is a busy time for Indoor Cricket as the summer outdoor season winds down. There is no better way to keep active and keep developing over the cold months, then with teammates playing Indoor Cricket. Rosters kick off in April! Speak to Ben, to discuss formats and make up of teams.

 

HPCT are also running Balls Sports Activity Parties, the perfect way for any boys and girls to celebrate their birthday with friends.
